Two-Area Facial Consultation
Two-area facial line treatment — typically forehead with frown, or frown with crow's feet — balanced for a natural result.

Treatment Summary
A combined facial line treatment across two related areas of the upper face. The most common pairings are forehead with frown lines (because treating these together avoids brow heaviness), or frown lines with crow's feet. Treating two areas in tandem is often the most balanced first treatment because it respects how the upper-face muscles work as a system, rather than addressing one in isolation. We use only MHRA-licensed prescription-only medicines, dosed conservatively, with a complimentary two-week review.
Also known as: facial line two areas · two area facial line · forehead and frown treatment · frown and crow's feet treatment · facial line combination
Key Benefits
Balanced Upper Face
Treating two related muscle groups together produces a more harmonious result than either area alone.
Avoids Brow Heaviness
Pairing forehead with frown protects against the heavy-brow feeling that can follow forehead-only treatment.
Natural Movement
Conservative dosing softens lines while preserving expression — never frozen.
MHRA-Licensed Product
Only regulated prescription-only medicines from established pharmaceutical manufacturers.
Why two areas is often the most natural starting point
The upper-face muscles do not operate in isolation. The frontalis (forehead) is the single muscle that lifts the brow; the glabellar complex (corrugator supercilii and procerus, between and just above the brow) is its main opposing depressor; the lateral orbicularis oculi (around the outer eye) draws the outer brow and skin inward when you smile. Soften one without considering the others and the system can look unbalanced. Two-area treatment, dosed proportionally, is therefore frequently the most natural-feeling option — particularly for someone new to facial line treatment.
At Aesthetic Clinique in West Hampstead, the two most common pairings are forehead with frown (the safest combination because it addresses both the lifter and the main depressor) and frown with crow's feet (a strong choice for clients with a quiet forehead but active frowning and squinting).
How we approach it
We dose conservatively, especially on a first visit. The forehead in particular is treated at the lower end of the licensed range, because too much frontalis weakening can give a heavy-brow feeling — and because a small top-up at the two-week review is far easier to add than to undo. The frown is treated more confidently; this is one of the strongest, deepest-acting muscle groups of the upper face. Crow's feet, when included, are dosed lightly and superficially.
Who two-area treatment suits — and who it doesn't
It suits most adults seeking a balanced upper-face refresh. It is less appropriate where the forehead is severely lined and primarily static (skin treatment may be needed in parallel), where the brow already sits low and would worsen with frontalis softening, or in pregnancy, breastfeeding and certain neuromuscular conditions. We will be honest at consultation if a different plan would serve you better — sometimes that means just one area, sometimes three.
Results, timeline and maintenance
Effect begins at 3–5 days and peaks at around 14 days, when we see you for a complimentary review. Two-area results typically last 3–4 months. Most clients return every 3–4 months for the first year, then often stretch the interval as the underlying muscle activity gradually quietens.
Combining with other treatments
Two-area facial line treatment combines well with medical skincare, polynucleotides, chemical peels and small-volume filler for any static component of a line. We treat the muscle first, review at two weeks, then plan additional layers from there.
What to Expect
- 1
Consultation and full upper-face assessment
We assess the interaction between forehead, frown and orbital muscles at rest and in animation, and confirm which two areas will give the most balanced result for your anatomy.
- 2
Mapping and conservative dosing
Injection points across both areas are marked individually. We typically dose at the lower end of the licensed range on a first treatment, particularly in the forehead, to allow for a top-up rather than risk over-treatment.
- 3
Treatment in a single sitting
Both areas are treated in one appointment using very fine needles. Total injecting time is around 5–10 minutes; most clients describe the sensation as quick, repeated pinches.
- 4
Two-week review and titration
We see you at 14 days to assess the balance of effect across both areas. Small top-ups to even out residual movement are included if clinically appropriate.
Suitability
Aesthetic care is highly individual. The points below are general guidance — final suitability for two-area facial consultation is always confirmed in your consultation.

- Clients with both forehead and frown concerns — the most common pairing
- Clients with frown and crow's feet activity but a quiet forehead
- Maintenance clients returning every 3–4 months for two consistent areas

- Crow's Feet
prescription-only medicines type A is MHRA-licensed in the UK for treatment of glabellar (frown), forehead and crow's feet lines. Treating frown and forehead together is supported by the underlying anatomy: the frontalis is the only brow elevator, while the glabellar complex (corrugator and procerus) is the depressor — addressing both prevents an unopposed depressor effect. Aesthetic Clinique uses only brands holding a current UK marketing authorisation.
