Botox - 3 Areas
Anti-wrinkle treatment dosed and placed for male anatomy — stronger movement, deeper muscle, different goal.

Treatment Summary
Male facial anatomy differs meaningfully from female: the frontalis and glabellar muscles are bulkier, the brow sits lower and more horizontally, and the dose required to soften lines without flattening masculine features is consistently higher. This treatment covers three upper-face areas — typically forehead, frown and crow's feet — using a male-specific dosing pattern and brow-preserving technique. The goal is a man who looks rested rather than 'done': softer expression lines, intact masculine brow shape, no eyebrow arching, no feminisation.

Key Benefits
Male-Specific Dosing
Higher unit doses across larger, denser male muscle — calibrated to actually move the line, not just nick the surface.
Preserved Masculine Brow
Placement and dose chosen to keep the male brow flat and slightly low — never arched, never feminised.
Discreet Refresh
Aimed at looking rested and less tired — not noticeably treated. No-one should be able to point at why you look better.
MHRA-Licensed Product
Only regulated botulinum toxin from established pharmaceutical manufacturers.
Why male anti-wrinkle treatment is its own treatment
Male and female facial anatomy differ in ways that directly affect anti-wrinkle dosing, placement and goal. The male frontalis is bulkier, with stronger and deeper fibres. The male glabellar complex is heavier, often producing a more pronounced frown line. The male brow sits lower than the female brow, lies more horizontally, and is the wrong shape to lift — arching it during treatment looks immediately feminising rather than refreshing. And the goal differs: most male patients explicitly want to look less tired, not lifted.
For these reasons, male treatment at Aesthetic Clinique in West Hampstead is its own protocol. Doses are higher, injection points are placed wider and lower across the forehead, and lateral lift is deliberately avoided.
How the technique differs
Two specific differences: first, unit dose. Male frontalis and glabella typically require 1.5–2× the unit dose of an equivalent female treatment to actually relax the muscle. Anything less and the line continues to move. Second, point geometry. We place forehead injection points lower (closer to the brow, within safe distance) and wider out laterally, to keep frontalis lift even and flat across the brow. We do not under-treat the lateral frontalis as we sometimes might in a female patient seeking arch.
The crow's-feet area is treated more conservatively, using lighter superficial doses, because the orbicularis oculi behaves similarly between sexes.
What to expect
Total appointment time is around 30 minutes. Injecting itself takes a few minutes across the three areas. Most men describe the sensation as quick, brief pinches and tolerate the treatment well. There is no meaningful downtime — you can return to work the same day. We do ask you to avoid the gym, heavy weights and running for the remainder of the day, and to avoid lying face down on your first night.
Softening begins at 3–5 days and reaches full effect at 14 days, when we see you for a complimentary review. Because male muscle is denser, slightly more residual movement at review is normal and a small top-up may be needed — included in your fee if clinically appropriate.
Maintenance and combinations
Most male patients return every 3–4 months. Many combine male anti-wrinkle treatment with masseter slimming for a softer jaw or bruxism relief, the Nefertiti lift for jawline definition, or skin-quality work. We treat conservatively, review honestly, and add only what genuinely serves the result.
What to Expect
- 1
Consultation with male-specific assessment
We assess brow position, brow shape, frontalis bulk and frown depth — all of which behave differently in male anatomy — and confirm a plan that softens lines without altering masculine facial proportions.
- 2
Higher-dose, brow-preserving mapping
Male treatments typically use 1.5–2× the unit dose of an equivalent female treatment in the frontalis and glabellar muscles. Injection points are placed lower and wider on the forehead than in female patients to keep the brow flat.
- 3
Treatment in one session
All three areas are treated in one appointment. Total injecting time is around 5–10 minutes; men generally tolerate the procedure very well.
- 4
Two-week review
We see you at 14 days. Because male muscle is denser, residual movement at the review is more common than in female patients and a small top-up is included if clinically appropriate.

Male facial anatomy requires higher dosing than female across the frontalis and glabellar complex — supported by published consensus guidance on male aesthetic treatment. Brand selection at Aesthetic Clinique includes only botulinum toxin type A holding a current UK marketing authorisation. Male treatment goals (preserved brow shape, no arching, no feminisation) inform both unit dose and injection-point geometry.
