Treatment Summary

Sunekos is an injectable skin booster combining low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid with a patented blend of six amino acids — the building blocks of collagen and elastin. It supports the dermal extracellular matrix and is particularly suited to the delicate periorbital area, lower face and neck. A typical course is 2–3 sessions spaced 2–3 weeks apart.

Also known as: Sunekos 200 · Sunekos 1200 · amino acid skin booster · biorevitalisation · ECM skin booster

Key Benefits

Rebuilds the Extracellular Matrix

The six amino acids are the actual building blocks of collagen and elastin — not just signal molecules.

Periorbital Friendly

Among the safer skin boosters for thin under-eye skin where filler is the wrong tool.

Gentle Treatment

Small volumes, fine needles, minimal social downtime in most clients.

Two Formulations

Sunekos 200 for fine, delicate skin; Sunekos 1200 for laxer or more advanced concerns.

What Sunekos is

Sunekos is an injectable skin booster combining low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid with a patented blend of six amino acids: glycine, l-proline, l-leucine, l-lysine, l-valine and l-alanine. These amino acids are the actual building blocks of collagen and elastin — not signal molecules, but the raw material the skin uses to rebuild its extracellular matrix.

It is, like Profhilo and polynucleotides, a treatment for skin quality rather than facial volume. It does not add contour, fill hollows or define jawlines.

What Sunekos is best for

Sunekos has carved a particular niche around the eyes, lower face and neck — areas where the skin is thin, the consequences of placing volume are unforgiving, and gentle skin-quality improvement is what clients actually need. Common indications include:

  • Crepey, dehydrated under-eye skin in clients who are not candidates for tear-trough filler
  • Lower-face quality loss in clients in their 30s and 40s who do not yet need bio-stimulation but want a refresh
  • Crepey, sun-aged neck and décolletage
  • Pre-event subtle improvement as part of a planned skin programme

Two formulations

We use two Sunekos formulations:

  • Sunekos 200 — finer molecular weight, suited to delicate periorbital skin and gentle starts
  • Sunekos 1200 — higher molecular weight, used for more advanced laxity or body areas

We pick the formulation at consultation, often using 200 for the eye area and 1200 for the lower face or neck within the same overall plan.

Mechanism

The amino acid blend supplies fibroblasts with the substrates needed to synthesise new collagen and elastin. The hyaluronic acid component provides immediate hydration support and a temporary scaffold. Together, the two components support a measured, gradual improvement in dermal density and elasticity — without the abrupt volume-change profile of filler.

Who suits the treatment

Sunekos suits adults from late 20s onwards with concerns around skin quality rather than volume — particularly clients with thin or reactive periorbital skin, clients new to injectables wanting a gentle entry point, and clients maintaining results between Profhilo or polynucleotide courses.

It is not appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding, in active skin infection, or in clients with known hypersensitivity to product components.

What happens on the day

After consultation and topical anaesthetic, we deliver Sunekos as a series of small papular injections across the planned area. Periorbital treatment takes around 15–20 minutes; combined face/neck around 30 minutes. Small papules at each injection point typically resolve within an hour or two. There is no real downtime, though bruising is more likely around the eyes than elsewhere.

Results timeline and maintenance

Hydration and softness improvements are usually noticed within 1–2 weeks of the second session. Full results — improved skin density, elasticity and quality — develop over 3–4 weeks after the course is complete. Maintenance is typically a single session every 4–6 months, often alternated with polynucleotides or Profhilo as part of an ongoing skin-quality programme.

What to Expect

  1. 1

    Consultation

We confirm Sunekos suits your concern — particularly versus polynucleotides, Profhilo or filler — and select formulation.

  2. 2

    Topical Anaesthesia

Numbing cream is applied for 15–20 minutes for comfort, especially around the eyes.

  3. 3

    Micro-Injections

Small bolus or papular injections deliver Sunekos to the targeted dermis across the planned area.

  4. 4

    Course of 2–3 Sessions

Sessions are spaced 2–3 weeks apart, with maintenance every 4–6 months.

Suitability

Aesthetic care is highly individual. The points below are general guidance — final suitability for biostimulation sunekos is always confirmed in your consultation.

Often suitable for

  • Crepey, dehydrated under-eye skin where filler is not appropriate
  • Lower-face dryness and quality loss in clients in their 30s and 40s
  • Crepey, sun-exposed neck and décolletage
  • Pre- or post-event subtle skin-quality refresh
  • Clients new to injectables wanting a gentle entry point

May not be suitable if

  • Significant tear-trough hollowing requiring volume (consider filler)
  • Active skin infection, conjunctivitis or facial herpes outbreak
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Known hypersensitivity to product components
  • Bleeding disorders without medical clearance

Aftercare

Caring for your results

A few simple steps in the first 24–48 hours help your results settle as expected.

  • Avoid make-up over injection points for 12 hours
  • Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas and alcohol for 24 hours
  • Sleep slightly elevated the first night for periorbital treatment
  • Use a gentle moisturiser and SPF over the area from day two
  • Bruising is more likely around the eyes — plan around social events

Sunekos is a CE-marked Class III medical device. Its patented six-amino-acid blend (glycine, l-proline, l-leucine, l-lysine, l-valine, l-alanine) combined with hyaluronic acid is supported by published studies showing improvements in dermal density and skin elasticity over a course of treatment, with a strong tolerability profile across periorbital, perioral and neck applications.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Sunekos a filler?

No. Sunekos is a skin booster — it does not add volume or contour. It is injected to support the extracellular matrix of the dermis: hydration, density and elasticity. If your concern is a hollow that needs volume, you need filler, not Sunekos.

How does Sunekos compare to Profhilo?

Both are injectable skin treatments using hyaluronic acid, but they work differently. Profhilo is delivered at standardised five-point injections per side and bio-remodels skin over a 4–6 week timeline. Sunekos is delivered as multiple small papular injections across an area and contains amino acids alongside HA. Sunekos is often preferred for the periorbital and neck areas; Profhilo for broader facial bio-remodelling.

Can Sunekos be used under the eyes?

Yes — Sunekos 200 is well-suited to the thin, crepey under-eye skin where filler can look unnatural. It does not address volume loss directly; it improves skin quality, hydration and fine-line crepiness. Many clients combine it with polynucleotides for a layered regenerative effect.

How many sessions do I need?

A standard course is 2–3 sessions spaced 2–3 weeks apart. Maintenance is typically every 4–6 months. We assess the response 3–4 weeks after the final session of the course.

When will I see results?

Most clients notice improved hydration and a softer, plumper skin quality within 1–2 weeks of the second session. Full results develop over 3–4 weeks after the course completes.

Is there downtime?

Minimal. Small papules at the injection points settle within hours. Bruising is more likely around the eyes and on the neck — usually faint, but worth planning for. You can return to work the same day.

What is the difference between Sunekos 200 and 1200?

Sunekos 200 uses lower molecular weight HA and is suited to delicate periorbital skin and finer concerns. Sunekos 1200 uses higher molecular weight HA and is intended for the body or for skin with more advanced laxity. We choose the formulation at consultation based on your skin and the area being treated.
